Public
The Netherlands is faced by a great number of challenges. Can the government keep its service levels up, while cost reductions need to be made? This is the question posted by politicians, government officials and citizens alike. This enormous task of reducing costs over the next few years will affect the size of the governmental apparatus. One thing is certain: the new structure of the Public sector needs new skills, new concepts and new policy. Ordina understands this as no other.
Recent developments
Against the backdrop of these developments, a plan for a more compact Dutch government was presented at the end of 2010 by the Dutch Cabinet, under Prime Minister Rutte’s leadership. The central theme was the overall improvement of the business operations within the government.
- Improving the government’s efficiency and effectivity by creating Shared Service Organisations (SSO’s)
- Greater responsibility and independence for citizens and the Private sector. Having citizens arrange more for themselves. Developing and strengthening citizenship and automating processes to a larger degree.
- Customer interaction. Improving the government’s transparency and improving the relationship between the government and its citizens.
