Agri Retail renews agreement with Ordina with over two years

Ordina provides the retailer with logistics and financial applications management

Agri Retail, the franchisor of retail concepts Boerenbond and Welkoop, has extended its agreement for IT services with Ordina for over two years. This agreement renders Ordina responsible for the maintenance, management and renewal of the retailer’s logistics and financial applications. With this agreement, Ordina takes a further step in strengthening its position in the Industry market.   

“Customer Excellence is centralized in our strategy for the Boerenbond and Welkoop formulas”, says Peter van Hattum, Agri Retail’s Demand Supply Chain & IT Manager. “This means that we mean to deliver the maximum added value to our customers, while realising a top performance in the area of operational excellence. The cooperation between Ordina and Agri Retail has been successful in realising these goals for several years already. For this reason we had no hesitations to renew our agreement with Ordina for a further two years.”

Agri Retail’s IT department is responsible for the entire operational IT of the company, including the development, implementation and management of applications for logistics and distribution. Agri Retail uses Oracle applications for its logistical support and AS400 for its financial management. Ordina will take care of the management of both the Oracle and AS400 applications in the next couple of years. Ordina will also be responsible for the further development of custom applications, in order to further support Agri Retail in the optimisation of its Financial and Logistics Management.
