Ordina wins application management and development contract for National Archives and Education Inspectorate

The National Archives (Nationaal Archief) and the Dutch Education Inspectorate (Inspectie van het Onderwijs) have awarded Ordina the contract for the management and development of the existing application environment of both organisations. The contract is valid for a maximum of five years. During this period, Ordina will ensure that existing applications are used and developed optimally to support the overall operations of the two government bodies. Ordina is also responsible for ad hoc support and provide advice on all parts of the organisations’ information processes.
Remco Verdegem, coordinator of the content cluster of the Information, Infrastructure and Innovation (I3) and application portfolio manager at the National Archives says: “We are pleased that after a very labour intensive process of more than six months, we were able to select a partner that came out on top in all assessments. It is now up to Ordina to meet these expectations.”

Willeke Ducaat, team leader ICT Management at the Education Inspectorate says: “After what has been a time-consuming selection period, we are pleased to have a new provider for application management and development. The first few weeks of this cooperation have been positive and we are confident that we have found a reliable, innovative partner in Ordina.”

“We are honoured that the National Archives and the Education Inspectorate have chosen Ordina as the partner to manage, maintain and renew existing applications,” says Barend de Zoete, Director of Ordina’s Professional Services and Projects division. “The government sector is also very important to us and we are keen to expand our activities in this sector, especially on the management front. We therefore see this contract as recognition of our in-house know-how and expertise.”
