Ordina wins IT framework agreement for the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum seekers

The Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers (known as COA in the Netherlands) has selected Ordina as one of its preferred suppliers for IT management, IT consultancy and for software development as well as operational management. The framework agreement has a three-year duration, which commenced on 1 March 2012. Winning this framework agreement with the COA has strengthened Ordina’s position in the Public sector.

Against the backdrop of cost reductions in the government sector, COA as well is focussing all efforts on making their work processes more efficient. IT is an important support factor in this regard. To guarantee the support of sound partners in the coming years, with respect to advice on IT matters as well as the thorough execution of such matters, COA chose to follow European public procurement procedures for this IT framework agreement.

“The government is under pressure to reduce costs”, according to Barend de Zoete, Director of the Professional Services & Projects Division at Ordina. “All government institutions are critically evaluating ways in which to make business processes run more smoothly and work more efficiently. We are proud of the fact that COA not only views us as a sound IT partner, but also as a sound IT consulting partner. By being selected for both areas, we are able to support COA from the advice stages right through to the actual execution in realising their business and IT objectives.”
