Ordina Supervisory Board to nominate Thessa Menssen and Filip Michiels as new members

The Supervisory Board of Ordina N.V. announces that it intends propose the appointment of Thessa Menssen and Filip Michiels as members of the Supervisory Board to the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on 2 April 2020. Both candidates were nominated by the priority share foundation Stichting Prioriteit Ordina Groep. The Supervisory Board also intends to appoint Thessa Menssen as the chair of the audit committee as of the above date. She will succeed Dirk Anbeek, who will step down from the board at the end of the General Meeting on 2 April, in accordance with the retirement schedule.

Thessa Menssen (Dutch, 1967), is a member of the Supervisory Boards of Alliander, PostNL and FMO. She is also a member of the Supervisory Committee of the Topvrouw van het Jaar foundation, the Scheepvaartmuseum (National Maritime Museum) and the Kröller Müller Museum. Thessa Menssen was previously CFO and a member of the Executive Board of BAM Groep and CFO and COO of the Rotterdams Havenbedrijf (Port of Rotterdam).

Filip Michiels (Belgian, 1970) has been CIO of TUI since 2013. He is also a member of the board of Belgian Travel Network. Prior to this, he was CIO of Gateway and interim Head of IT at Lanxess Belgium. Filip was recently voted the Belgian CIO of the year 2019 by IT sector magazine Datanews.

Johan van Hall, chairman of the Supervisory Board: “I am pleased with the proposed appointment of Thessa Menssen and Filip Michiels to our Supervisory Board. They will be a valuable addition to the composition of the board. Thessa Menssen will add her strong financial background and extensive know-how and experience in a range of sectors in the Netherlands, while Filip Michiels will add his know-how and experience in Digital/IT, in Belgium in particular. Following the proposed appointments, the Supervisory Board will once again consist of five members and the composition will be diverse and balanced.”
