Joost de Bruin member of the Cyber Security Council

Joost de Bruin, CEO of Ordina Netherlands, has joined the Cyber Security Council (CSR) on behalf of NLdigital. The CSR is an independent strategic advisory body to the Cabinet, consisting of representatives from public and private organizations and academia.

Joost joined the CSR from his board position within NLdigital. Under his leadership, the Cybersecurity Committee was reconstituted last year with a new focus on important new European legislation, such as the Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2) and the European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

"With a focus on the implementation of new EU legislation and the strengthening of IT education, I want to support the supporters of NLdigital and thus maintain the knowledge position of the Netherlands," said De Bruin about his new role.

Cybersecurity is currently receiving more attention from legislators than ever before. This makes the role of the CSR as an advisory body even more important.
